On September 7, 1992, the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the Establishment of an Intelligence Body under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was signed.
In the system of national security of Ukraine, military intelligence occupies an important place, remaining the mainstay of our statehood and one of the tools to protect national interests from external threats.
The sphere of interests of military intelligence includes information related to a real or probable enemy, which allows to determine its military resources, combat capabilities and vulnerabilities, to establish the intended theater of operations.
