Product Description
The soundtrack for director Michael Dowse's retro '80s comedy Take Me Home Tonight is stocked with an appropriately retro playlist of new wave, pop, hair metal, and rap classics (where's Eddie Money?). Peppered Tarantino-style with snippets of dialogue from the film, the song choices are all pretty standard when it comes to '80s fare ("Video Killed the Radio Star," "Come on Eileen," "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Safety Dance," "Bette Davis Eyes," "Everybody Have Fun Tonight"), but vaguely left-field choices like "Straight Outta Compton" (N.W.A), "Kickstart My Heart" (Mötley Crüe), and "Situation" (Yaz) help to keep things from devolving into a late-night VH1 infomercial. ~ James Christopher Monger
