This uncirculated 1,000 Argentinian peso note was introduced by the Central Bank of Argentina and signed by Pedro Camilo Lopez and Egidio Iannela. It is a brown note that measures 155 mm x 75 mm. Its obverse side features the portrait of Jose de San Martin with oak leaves. Its reverse side shows a view of Casa Rosada (Pink House) on Plaza de Mayo (May Square) in Buenos Aires. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a lithographed back and sunburst watermark. The note was demonetized in 1984.
