The Madeira pattern was introduced in 1967 and features the earthy tones that became all the rage in the 70's.

This small plate has no obvious flaws--color and pattern looks great, no chips, no cracks.

There is no backstamp. The larger plates I bought with it (listed separately) have the TV screen backstamp.Madeira is super hard to photograph due to the dark design. I tried to get some photos that accurately depict the coloring but if you are searching for Madeira pieces, you are probably already familiar with the color palette.

Wish I had more than just this one, but maybe that is all you need to round out your collection!

Check out my store for more Madeira plates in larger sizes plus some divided bowls, cups and saucers.I have so much that is not listed so if there is something you are looking for in Franciscan, just ask!
