Valve Type: The PSL-40K-220VAC is a 1-1/2"
Normally Open, Zero-differential Valve.  This is a two-way, unidirectional valves, this means it has two, 1-1/2" FNPT ports but can only flow from inlet to outlet as indicated by the arrow on the valves body.
The valve is fast acting and changes position in under 1 second when power is applied or removed. Zero Differential Pressure is required.

Valve Materials: The valve body is PA66 Engineered Nylon Plastic. The diaphragm is EPDM and the Internal Components are all Stainless Steel.  This valve is completely lead free and can be used on potable water and food grade applications.

*Consult a chemical compatibility expert for correct seal and valve body material choice.

Important Coil Information: This valve uses the 210 series coil. This coil has a 43650A DIN Connection and a Class H enclosure rating. This coil is non-polarized, either wire can be connected to hot and the other to nuetral. It is recommended to use the ground wire for AC voltages as well.  This coil has a voltage range of +/-10% of the stated voltage. It is rated for continuous duty however like most solenoid valves the coil will become hot to the touch when left on continuously. Leaving the valve powered on for long periods of time will reduce the life of the coil. This should be installed where airflow is present to reduce the ambient temperature around the coil and increase the lifespan. This valve should be mounted with the coil in the upright position.

Preventative Maintenance: An Inline Y-Strainer pre-filter is always recommended to keep debris from entering the valve and clogging the diaphragm. Inline Check Valves are recommended downstream whenever backpressure or back flow is present in an application. These valves are uni-directional and do not prevent back flow.
