    Radiator:

     

    The radiator is a main part of the cooling system. Coolant flows through the tubes inside the radiator, which are surrounded by fins that direct airflow.     Condenser

     

    The condensers are a critical component of your vehicle’s air conditioning system. The AC condenser transfers heat from the refrigerant to the atmosphere and thus is comparable to your engine’s radiator insofar as function.

     

     

    Examples of faults that are commonly seen in AC condensers include external damage to fins or tubes, pinhole leaks, and clogged passages. When these occur the condenser usually has to be replaced (save for minor damage to fins which can be straightened with a fin “comb”). so when should i replace my car condenser?  1.Leaking. 2.Air not as cool as it should be. 3.No cool air at all.

    • Check the Radiator's Air Vent/Bleed Valve. Before turning on your radiators, check out the bleed valve or air vent.

Always wear safety glasses when working on your vehicle. Wear other personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.

     

     Radiator And Condenser Replace Steps

     

     Radiator:

     

    • Raise and support the vehicle, Open the petcock valve or remove the lower radiator hose to drain the coolant from the radiator.

     

    • Disconnect the radiator reservoir hose, Remove the upper and lower radiator hose.

     

    • Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector, Remove the cooling fan mounting bolts, Remove the cooling fan. 

     

    • Disconnect the transmission cooler lines. Remove the radiator mounting bolts, Remove the condenser mounting bolts, Remove the radiator from the vehicle.

     

    • Mount the radiator. Mount the new radiator in position.

     

    • Install the condenser mounting bolts and tighten them down, Install the radiator mounting bolts. 

     

    • Connect the transmission cooler lines, Mount the fan. Mount the cooling fan in position, Install the cooling fan mounting bolts, Reconnect the cooling fan electrical connector. 

     

    • Slide the hose onto the connection. Install the upper and lower radiator hose. Connect the radiator reservoir hose. Close the drain petcock as needed. Then fill the radiator with coolant.

     

    • Bleed the air from the cooling system. 

     

     Condenser:

     

    • Locate your A/C condenser. Inspect the condenser for cracks that can lead to leaking.

     

    • Recover the refrigerant (Discharge the AC system). This will need to be done with a recovery machine. If the Freon has already leaked out you will not need to do this.

     

    • Remove any grilles, supports, lock braces to gain access to the condenser.

     

    • Remove the condenser's refrigerant lines. Remove the condenser mounting bolts. Remove the condenser.

     

    • Install a new condenser making sure any rubber cushions fit properly on the condenser assembly.

     

    • Pour a small amount of compressor oil into the line fittings. Reconnect the A/C lines. Replace all O-rings. Re-install any parts that were removed in order to gain access to the condenser.

     

    • Evacuate all remaining refrigerant using a specific AC machine that pulls a vacuum on the system. Hold the vacuum for 10 minutes to check for leaks.

     

    • Recharge the A/C system with the recommended type and amount of refrigerant. Each vehicle takes a different amount of refrigerant.

     

    • Test A/C system by measuring the temperature coming out of vents inside the vehicle.
