Rare J.J. Downey LTD  Coin Silver Spoon From  Silvertown London dock area

This ghost sign was for a company called "J & J Downey Ltd" who,  The "phone" number style indicates that this advert was placed sometime between 1927 and 1958. "ALB", which stood for "Albert Dock", was first used in 1927 when that was the format for identifying the exchange. This system was phased out in 1958 with the exchange letters being changed to numbers.

Postal marking for the district is Initials and a number  this spoon has  # 12  could it be E-12 in the  Dock area
