Used item not played with

This was used in the Audi Pit stop , in the first two photos you can see the front and back of the pit board

Please note before you bid / buy the Lego man and any backgrounds you see are not included its just to give an idea of scale and a bit of fun.For those not in the know the standard Lego man in his helmet stands 4cm tall or 1 and 12/16 of an inch

In 2002 Audi won le mans .To celebrate this a magazine part work was issued in France that enabled you to buy the parts to construct a replica of the Audi pit , the magazine came in  40 parts and with each magazine a blister pack containing parts

These came as  part of a blister pack

The model was made for collectors and is a collectors model not for children

I first came across this in Paris as a display in an Audi window along with Audi model cars and then later came across items being sold on ebay which I bought so that I might have obtain the set

The first two photos are of the item you could buy , The other photos are to aid and help fellow enthusiasts  second being of  a pit constructed ( not by me ) and the third is of the first issue of the magazine

The study of the various constructions of the le mans pits over the years has been interesting , for me the best spectator pits were the previous old pits where you could sit on the balcony ledge and watch the pit action ( with the Gendarme blowing his whistle at those smoking above ) a true action view and happy times for me -for images of the old pits look at historicspeed.com
