Illustrated religious novels were a staple of late Victorian literature and are highly collectable in good condition. 'The Children's' Kingdom' is a rarely seen title by the prolific L T Meade, originally from 1878 and republished as a John F Shaw hardback in the early 1900s with black and white line illustrated frontispiece and full colour decorated cover and spine.

On offer is what may be that rare 1st edition thus (the prize inscription states 1905) in generally good unmarked condition apart from the blemishes described above. This desirable collectable measures 7" x 5" and with packaging weighs over 500g.
