Four color illustrations by Hablot K. Browne (3 of which are pictured).  Mr. Browne is probably better known by the pen name Phiz when he illustrated books by Charles Dickens.

Published in 1854 by Grant and Griffith, London.  2nd edition.

Embossed, red cloth hardcover, 5 X 7 inches, 91 pages, with 8 pages of publisher's ads in the very back.

Good condition.  Spine ends are beginning to fray and there's mild wear along the spine edges.  Three board corners are rubbed through.  Gilt is still bright on spine and front board and all edges are gilt.  Gift inscription dated 1854 on the title page, otherwise unmarked, securely bound.  Light foxing of the preliminary pages.
