Aftermarket Alpine SWR-1040D Subwoofer Recone Kit.

To most car audio guys, it's common knowledge that Alpine does not sell recone parts or kits for their Type R line of subwoofers. This is a custom kit that includes all the needed parts and adhesives to do your own custom repair of your Alpine SWR-1040D subwoofer.  These are the exact same parts that we use to do this build in our professional speaker repair facility.

**NOTES**

#1 - Kit fits ONLY and specifically the SWR-1040D
#2 - Speaker will still have the same factory RMS power rating.
#3 - Kit shown in photo is specific to this speaker.
#4 - Kit includes all the adhesives, shims, and wires needed.
#5 - This is NOT a drop-in kit - this is a professional kit.
#6 - Instructions are not included.
#7 - Trimming of the cone, and/or spiders may be required.
#8 - The sub will look completely different after the repair.
#9 - You MUST reuse any original terminal ring or spider spacers.
#10 - Our coil former is shorter than the original. This is done purposely to eliminate the coil wobble that plagues this model, and causes so many failures. The shorter former installs higher than the original, but functions perfectly, and eliminates this problem.

Kit includes:
1 - Dual 4 ohm 1.96" voice coil on anodized aluminum former
1 - 10" Pressed pulp subwoofer cone with foam surround
2 - Flat Spiders (FS-E x2)
1 - 6.5" Poly plain black inverted dust cap
1 - 10" Rubitex subwoofer gasket
1 - Bottle of professional-grade CA Adhesive (For voice coil)
1 - Spray bottle of CA Adhesive Activator
1 - Bottle of professional-grade solvent-based rubber speaker adhesive (For the rest of assembly)
2 - Ft of 3500W subwoofer lead wire (.081" diameter)
2 - Pieces of shrink tube to coat and protect your leads
2 - Tin application brushes
8 - 0.10" Voice coil shims
1 - Springfield Speaker vinyl window sticker.

Shipping to a destination outside of the U.S. is carried out by 1 of 2 methods:

  • UPS
  • U.S. Postal Service

Which method we use is determined by the product itself, as well as which option you choose (If a choice is available).

All orders ship within 1 business day. All products, with the exception of speakers**, are shipped by USPS 1st Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail.

For 1-Day shipping within the U.S. choose the Express Mail option. Express Mail orders are guaranteed within 2 days by USPS, but nearly all of them arrive overnight if orders are placed before 3pm Central U.S. Time.

**Speakers are generally shipped by UPS Ground unless other arrangements are made in advance.

- If item is returned due to seller error...Seller will replace item, or issue FULL refund.
- If return is due to buyer error, buyer changing their mind, or buyer no longer wanting/needing the product; the seller will issue a refund MINUS a fee of 20% of the original sale price for restocking, and MINUS shipping and handling (S/H) charges originally paid by the buyer.
- If no additional S/H was paid by the buyer, then seller will issue a full refund MINUS a fee of 20% of the original total for restocking and to cover original S/H.
- No refund will be issued for opened adhesives.
- ALL RETURNED ITEMS MUST BE IN BRAND NEW, UNUSED CONDITION.
