白头翁根含白头翁皂甙（pulchinenoside),鼠李糖-（1→2）-α-L-吡喃阿拉伯糖-3β，23-二羟基-△20（29）-羽扇豆烯-28-酸〔3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-（1→2）α-L-arabinopyranosyl-3β，23-dihydroxylup△-20（29）-en-28-oicacid〕，白头翁皂甙（pulchinenoside）A3、B4，皂甙（saponin）1、2，白桦脂酸-3-O-α-L阿拉伯吡喃糖甙（betulinicacid 3-O-α-L-arabinopyranoside），白桦脂酸（betulinic acid），3-氧代白桦脂酸（3-oxobetulinic acid），胡萝卜甙（daucosterol），白头翁素（anemonin），原白头翁素（protoanemonin）。白头翁甙（pulsatiloside）A、B、C、D，牡丹草甙（leontosidel）A、 B、D，驴蹄草甙（calcoside）D，威岩仙皂甙（cauloside）D、F。
