Description:
It doesn't seem that Capt. Curt Wennberg, owner of the S.A.E. factory, or the sculptor Holger Eriksson ever made any toy soldiers that do not have wonderful stories attached. Here is an Interesting pair of U.S. Army Cavalry figures that are more than they seem. Guideons are normally swallowtail flags. But there's one rectangular guideon that has the name "Garryowen," It's this rectangle painted in these colors with crossed swords in gold at its center. The song was a British officers' drinking song and was ordered played by the band at least once by Wellington. It is the official marching song of the United States Cavalry. Garryowen has a tradition for Americans that goes back at least to the mid-1850s. It was the favorite march of Col. George Armstrong Custer and was supposedly played last-before the Colonel's fatal misjudgment.

Hight = 1.75" (30mm) For the Figure
