New Guinea Seed Pod Dance Rattles Sepik River.

I bought some stuff from an estate that belonged to a professor of music and he must have had some items from New Guinea on display in his classroom because he had display paper describing what the items were and the original tags from when he bought them so I included that.  it reads... Rattles "The Sepik River has a rich musical tradition.  In addition to drums and flutes, rattles are used in many of the ceremonies.  Here is displayed a leg rattle typical of those from many villages along the Sepik  that are made from seed pods.  The rattle is tied around the ankle and it's supposed to represent the sound of water."  That is all I know about them. It  has a green rope which looks more modern to me so take a look at the pics.  Thank you for looking.
