A most beautiful ring of its type, having full Austro-Hungarian dog marks on the inside of the band, which were used from 1867 until the early 1920s. I would estimate the ring is c1880s. Similar in style to the statement lapis and sapphire ring I am also selling-this is perhaps more unusual because of the green colourings of the stones against the silver gilt of the metal. It is in lovely condition, with no wear to the fabulous central amazonite stone and also, all 28 small green stones which form the oval periphery of the ring, present and correct. They do test as stones, so are either green garnets or else emeralds.

The design is really sumptuous with the diversity in shades of green set against the gold of the silver gilt. That is also in very good condition and continues all around the ornate band, typical of the Austro-Hungarian era. If you flip the ring over, you immediately see the ornate detailing in the mount. A beauty!

This sensational ring measures as approx UK size I (US 4.25). She makes the ultimate statement and she will not be ignored – with a ring face of just a touch over 2.5cm in length. An extremely rare and exquisite piece of jewellery .There are the remnants of a maker’s mark (can’t decipher it), as well as the dog mark for silver. Not all rings of the era have visible dog marks to prove their heritage so it is fabulous to have it here. There has been a small, jeweller’s glue fix at the front, visible under loupe only. Tiny but mentioned for accuracy only-you don’t see it when you wear this fabulous ring. I have taken it into account with the pricing.

I shall send her to you in a sturdy new ring box to keep her safe. Delivery by Tracked and Signed. Thank you! Please note I am not selling to Germany currently.
