Newest version of the North Pole Express Engine operates at 2.4 Ghz Band 1 (NOT compatible with the older 27 Mhz versions or 2.4 Ghz engines that do NOT say Band 1)  If you are replacing the engine or remote, please verify that the engine or remote that you have is 2.4 Ghz Band 1 (The frequency of the engine is specified on the bottom of the engine and must say 2.4 Ghz Band 1 like the 3rd picture. The frequency of the remote is specified on the back of the remote and simply says 2.4 Ghz, like in the picture.

Because they are not compatible with older 27 Mhz trains, they also will not interfere with them.  So these are great if you already have a remote controlled train and would like to run 2 remote controlled trains at the same time.

About the Engines:
  • They have G Gauge wheel spacing and run on G Gauge Track (please see 2nd picture.)
  • They are 14 inches long x 7-1/2 inches tall x 4 inche wide
  • They have car couplers like the one shown in the 3rd and 4th picture
  • Turn it on/off by twisting the bell in front of the cab of the engine.
  • Make it go forward by pushing the smokestack/button right behind the bell, or use the remote to make it go forward, stop, reverse.
  • They are powered by 4 C batteries (not included) that go in the cab of the Engine.
  • The light on the front of the engine comes on automatically when you turn on the train
About the Remotes:
  • Uses 2 AAA Batteries (Not included.)
About the Coal Tenders:
  • Compatible with all G Gauge trains of any frequency.
  • It is 8 inches long X 5 inches tall x 4 inches wide

  • It runs on any G Gauge Plastic track - Please see the 2nd picture for dimensions.
  • It has Couplers as shown in the 4th and 5th pictures.
  • (It does not hold batteries like the older Tenders that provide power for the locomotives.)
