The 21MTC to 8 pin breakout board w wires provides a handy way to access all outputs of 21MTC decoders for hardwire applications. Very similar to the ESU 51967 21MTC adaptor board.

This particular breakout board features pre-soldered wires that run to an 8 pin plug. The wires include track L+R, motor +/-, 3 function outputs, common positive and speaker wires. The 8 pin plug could be cut off in order to hardwire this board into a DC locomotive, to then make use of a 21 pin (21MTC) decoder.

21MTC decoders typically feature up to 8 amplified outputs and at least 2 logic level un-amplified outputs, more than other decoder types. Use of the breakout board will allow access to all of these functions. This may be helpful for locomotives not equipped with a 21MTC socket.

Note: this product is designed for DC locomotives, it is not designed for locomotives already fitted with a 21MTC socket.
