Here is a beautiful lot of 20 glass antique buttons! They are tiny--just 3/8" long (see size in comparison with the penny in my pics)--with a pink petal shaped backing and a tiny red ruby colored bead on the top. The shank backing is a tiny wire loop. The back pink part and the bead each can turn separately --they may even be handmade.
These came in with a large lot of antique Victorian sewing items so they are probably 100 or more years' old.
3 of the buttons have an extra pale pink bead on the shank side--I don't know why.

These could be used as buttons but they are very tiny and delicate so it might be hard to "button" them; they may have been meant for embellishment on clothing or costumes instead. Either way, they are unusual and pretty!

CONDITION: Antique and used condition, shanks show wear, 3 have an extra bead on the backside.
