19th Century, Linen Homespun Curtain Panel ,Pa., 17 1/2" x 39 with Crochet Trim
This is a linen curtain panel rescued from the family trunk after decades of storage. The
fabric is strong and in very good condition, the fibers show no
weakness. There is a bottom edge of 2 1/2 inches of crocheted trim that also incorporates fringe. There are some stains in the fabric, as shown in the pictures
and no attempts have been made to remove them. The type of stain is
unknown. One edge of the fabric is a salvage edge and one end of the
fabric has been meticulously hemmed with very fine stitches. There are tabs for hanging the curtain as shown in the pictures. There are two areas where the fringe is not as heavy, as shown in pics. The fabric
piece measures 39" X 17 1/2". The linen skein in picture is shown for
