I'm a diehard Lucille Ball fan since 5 years old. So that's over 50 years. Guess I'm old, lol. I'm selling this because I have to downsize and for financial reasons. Also, I've owned this for years and would like someone else to enjoy it.
Look at ALL pics for details. See all pics for condition. No returns. Super Cool Super Rare! STAMPED DESILU. Used Prop. Read on! Adult owned. Pet free Smoke free home. Does have age wear, cracks, staining. See all pics for condition. Even with the flaws I really think it displays nice. I never used it and don't think anyone should. It's approx 80 years old. Late 30's early 40's. Due to age and nature of this item, there are no returns or refund. Keep this in mind. Now, I'm a giant fan of all things Lucy. I was told some of the details of this bowl, by a seller that I didn't know, but I trusted. I have no proof of any of it. However, the story and the Desilu stamp is so amazing to see, it made me want to own it. Also, the age and history of this specific maker and design all aligns with the timeframe. He was told that sometimes Lucille would receive gifts. Sometimes she'd use them for herself. Then if she liked an item, she'd eventually bring it to the studio to be used as a prop. Props were extremely important to her. When received at the studio, they would stamp it for inventory purposes and it would go to the prop storage area. Obviously this was part of a set. And this particular design was super popular at the time. Apparently Lucille loved this set and used it herself, but I have no proof of this. It would make sense because of the latin/ hispanic style so I thought that was intriguing. Also note, this may or may not have been used on I Love Lucy (I have looked for it as I watch), but it could very well have been used on their many other shows. Andy Griffin, The Real MCCoys. Who know's. Again, I can not offer any proof that it was used on set, on camera, or by anyone specific or any part of the story. But it's just a great story, in and of itself. Fun to tell and imagine. I believed it enough to buy it. I'm more a collector than a seller, so I'm kinda picky. Note opinion is subjective to each buyer. I tried to be as detailed, honest and accurate as I could. Shipping includes added insurance.
I can not accept returns for any reason. No refunds unless damaged or lost in shipping and once claim is approved and I'm refunded. I have never been asked to have an item returned due to my detailed listing and pics. All Satisfied Buyers : )
