The Malaysia 1 Ringgit Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Malaysia in 2011. The obverse of this blue banknote features songket (traditional woven fabric) pattern, a Rosa-sinensis hibiscus flower, and a portrait of Tuanku Abdul Rahman wearing a tengkolok headgear. The reverse depicts the BNM logo, a traditional sport kite flying, represented by a moon kite. The note does not contain a security thread but bears a shadow image. It is 120 x 65 mm in size and is signed by Nor Shamsiah Mohd. This particular polymer banknote is in uncirculated condition.
