We have for sale a beautiful sterling silver Blue John single sided pendant. It has been beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England. In a shield shape, this pendant is set with a unique piece of Derbyshire Blue John and has a solid silver back. This pendant is set with an 18" sterling silver curb chain, other lengths are available.

Blue John stone is a rare, semiprecious mineral, fluorite, found at only one location in the world. This is at Treak Cliff Cavern which is at the western end of Hope Valley near Castleton in Derbyshire, England. The name Blue John derives from the French Bleu Jaune, meaning Blue John. It was first discovered by miners exploring the cavern for lead.
