Description
Neat (and kinda creepy) Cities Service Oil Company "CRAZY CONES" child's costume dated 1960.
It is a kraft paper cone that measures about 36" tall and 34" wide when flat. The seam is in the back and the sides are creased. There are arms holes in each side and a face hole in the front center.
I did a quick search and found no information or similar item. I assume this was a promotional item available at your local Cities Service gas station in time for Halloween in 1960.
Found in the bedroom closet at an old estate sale where it has apparently laid on a shelf for decades so has some shelf wear and rub. Couple spots of foxing. Appears to have been worn at least a few times. There are stains around the head hole and along the front that could be old candy stains from trick or treating. Shows wear and staining consistent with age. A few short rips along the holes and the creased edges as shown in pictures. Displays well. See pictures for condition of EXACTLY what you will receive. Will ship loosely rolled.
