1953 BSA B33 Plunger Frame Vintage Motorcycle Motorbike - Matching Numbers!

NOTE: Previous listings I had this listed as a 1957 bike which was wrong - It was actually first registered 3rd September 1953.

A great opportunity to own an original, private sale, BSA B33.

I have owned this bike privately since 18th November 2010.

Reason for sale - I simply need the space as I have other BSAs.

Matching Engine/Frame Numbers with BSA Owners Club certificate - 13th December 2010.

Generally good starter, needs using. Smoke in video is simply that bike had 'wet sumped' from un-use, once warmed up it is clear. It is not needing a re bore.

Good Tyres, still soft and rubbery.

High output 6 volt dynamo - DVR2 electronic regulator positive earth.

Good 6 volt gel battery, permanently connected to garage charger, so is in tip top condition.

The green light on handlebars is a digital battery status monitor, pretty accurate and gives good idea of battery and charging state when riding. Original Amp meter is pretty accurate too!

Halogen 20watt 6volt headlight bulb, other bulbs are Bright LEDs - Lights are really GOOD! Note original underslung Pilot light under headlamp, rare hard to find part.

Has a Triumph four spring clutch fitted. Clutch action is light with no drag.

Speedo records near enough correct speed, but obviously no match for modern digital speedos.

Oils: Engine Castrol R40 - Gearbox straight 40 - Clutch chain case Halfords 20/50. (Some will argue that R40 is ONLY for race bikes but I have never found gumminess or sticking piston rings etc, bike runs very well and smells glorious!)

Road Tax and MOT exempt.

To sum up, I can honestly say this is a GOOD bike and matches the price I am asking. Only fault I can report is that the front wheel spindle has at sometime been cross threaded, it is okay now and will be okay to reuse, keeping in mind that it could again cross thread if not careful.
