A very unique and rare design from Afyon, the poppy growing region in central Turkey

This kilim is approximately 50 to 60 years old. It has two village repairs on the right and left side of the lower borders. 

These repairs bring an authenticity and quirkiness to the rug that's not found in most kilims.

An excellent example of  hand made village weaving.
