This is a Winchester Repeating Arms die cut counter display featuring the subjects of the Model 12 Shotgun in a trap shooting scene. Promotes Trapshooting using Winchester Shotguns and Shotshells and shows a portion of a 1920's trap shooting line.

Because of its subjects this piece is a scarce and desirable collectible for Winchester Collectors. It borrows part of the image found in the Winchester Store 5 panel window display from the 1920's (shown in last photograph as copied from the Winchester Rarities Book by Kowalski, not included in auction). The sign is of a similar vintage to five panel sign.

Condition is not perfect but still excellent for age and degree of handling from commercial use. Colors are not faded particularly red in Winchester. Image of shooters is clear and unblemished  with the Model 12's predominately displayed. Piece lays generally flat with a hint of slight curvature along the left edge. Two corners (upper left, lower right) are slightly bumped. A sliver of the lower right corner are missing. Two pin holes at the top of piece near midpoint. Light dark smudging along the lower edge below text. On the back there appears to some light paper loss on the surface on the upper part of the cardboard. The easel back has been used and shows fold lines but it is well intact to the die cut. The prop for the easel back has never been folded downwards.

These items do not come available very often regardless of condition. While this one may not be perfect it displays very well and makes a good display item for a gun room or den.
