Okay so where do I start when it comes to a gemstone like this. This black opal is absolutely stunning, such a unique mix of colour play colours and patterning throughout this entire gemstone.

To make this gemstone that much more unique, it has been hand faceted to allow extra light into the gemstone.

You will see the most beautiful vivid blue, Royal blue, aqua blue & green. There is hot pink, red, orange yellow and a deep maroon red.

Only the very best quality black opal can be hand faceted as the Colour play needs to be deep enough so that when you are faceting the Gems you do not cut through that thin layer of colour.

Opal is a very light gemstone, therefore at 3 CRT you get a lot of gemstone for that weight.

16 x 8.30 x 5.40 mm finished in an elegant oval cut design.

When photographing this gemstone I was able to takeALOT of photos without effort, it is a very photogenic gemstone and when the natural light hits this gemstone it just erupts with colour. by photographing this gemstone in natural sunlight you are really capturing exactly what she will see when this gemstone is added to your collection.
