Vintage field telephone in metal case. I wasn't able to find out much about the phone and how old it is, if it is a military field phone, etc.

The plate on the front of the lid says Telephone Set "L". On the back, there is a stencil with the following painted in white: WLH/9/49. The handset has "T.M.C." on the back. There is also a tattered paper tag taped to the top - looks like an inventory-type tag - I can make out: "BRANCH", "R.S.S.D.DON/11", "CLASS Y", and "DATE 9-2-64". If there are other places I can look to identify a manufacturer, model number, etc., please let me know.

The box measures 9 3/4 5 1/2 by 5 1/4 deep (including the two awning-type protrusions at the front).

This telephone is untested.

Please see pictures for condition.

Note: I have one other field phone that I am selling at the same time as this one, please check out my other listing, happy to bundle for shipping if you would like more than one.

Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks!

Alex
