POPEYE
SUNDAY THIRD PAGE COMIC STRIPS
By Tom Sims & Bill Zaboly
The POPEYE comic strip, created by Elzie
Crisler Segar, was
originally entitled THIMBLE THEATRE and
debuted on December 19, 1919.
The strip centered around the wacky adventures of Olive Oyl and
her family.
On January 17, 1929, Popeye was introduced as a supporting
character and
before long he was headlining the strip. Segar remained
with the strip until his
death in 1938. Other contributors to this long running strip include Bud Sagendorf,
Tom Sims, Bill Zaboly, Bobby London and Hy Eisman. New Sunday strips by
Eisman continue to be produced but the current dailies
are reprints from earlier years.

Combine purchases and save on shipping!
Use the Shopping Cart option to confirm your purchases
and request adjusted shipping charges.
The easiest way to do this is to place the items you
want to purchase in your shopping cart. When you open
the
shopping cart, across from your name are the words in blue
"Request Total." Click these words and the request total page
is generated that shows the items that you are committing
to buy and a box for a message to you the seller. You can now click
the blue box that states “Commit to Buy” & submit the request.
This works best on a computer rather than a cell phone.
If something goes wrong and eBay charges you the full amount,
don't worry, I will refund the excess when I pack your order.
