Antique Vintage CORKSCREW w Cast Iron Cap LIfter Bottle Opener in Wood Handle
Edwin Walker Type 1893 Patent
Erie Specialty Company
Erie, Pennsylvania
Made in U.S.A.

Description:
As stated in the "Condition Description" it is possible that this is not a Walker as there is no "WALKER" mark either on the base of the handle or on the end of the handle.   If it had been marked on the base of the handle originally it has either rubbed off over the years or someone refinished the handle at some time in its 100+ year old history.  This item has a wooden handle with a cast iron cap lifter bottle opener in one side of the wood handle.
Dates to the turn of the 20th century period when a corkscrew was needed to open the beer bottle.

Size:  Approximately 5 5/8" long, 5" wide.
Weight:  3 ounces.

Condition:
In GOOD to VERY GOOD condition for a piece well over 100 years old.   There are some scratches and discoloration of the wood; there is some tarnishing of the metal parts.  It is possible that this is not a Walker as there is no "WALKER" mark visible either on the base of the handle or on the end of the handle.   If it had been marked originally it has either rubbed off over the years or someone refinished the handle at some time in its 100+ year old life.  Please see all photos for a complete description.
