The Fiji 5 Dollar banknote from 2002 has an enhanced security feature compared to the preceding series through the use of novel serial numbers and a wider windowed security thread. Its obverse side features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a Bunedamu bird perched on a branch, a domodomo as registration device, a silver metallic ornament, and the countrys national emblem. On the reverse is the Nadi International Airport with baggage carts and other maintenance vehicles servicing four passenger planes in the center while the catamaran ferry, domodomo, and flowers are printed on the lower right. The note is 156 x 67 mm in size and contains a wider Windowed security thread with demetalized RBF and domodomo for added security. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of a Fijian head.
