Design:
- Obverse: The National Arms of Mexico (an eagle on cactus facing left with a snake in beak above wreath) with the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" forming a semicircle above.
- Reverse: The center features the circle of the Aztec sun stone representing Tonatiuh with the fire mask. The peripheral ring shows the value at top center, mint year to the left, and the mark of the Mint of Mexico "Mo" to the right. The face value in words is at the bottom.
