Sacred Heart Roman Catholic church in Paris, which stands at the southeast corner of Main and Washington Streets, is one of the most interesting 19th-century Gothic Revival churches in Ontario.

Mass was celebrated for the first time in the church on Christmas Day 1857. The fabric was then incomplete and remained so until 1881 when various additions and modifications were finished to the design of John Turner, architect of Brantford

The sanctuary was subsequently modified in 1912."-raisethehammer dot org
