Here we have the 2019 version of the 6170 tool, which can be used for repair of many calibers. It is designed to fit the movement perfectly without the need for adjustable holders that always slip.

This version of the tool is functionally identical to previous issues and the only differences are cosmetic and practical, being a slightly better surface finish, smoother edges, better tolerances (due to tech improvements) and a thinner part (there was no need for it to be so thick).

The additional cutouts on the side are to access the dial screws on the 61 & 63 series movements. if the screws fall out they are difficult to put back in and these are designed to make the job a little easier. They can also be used to access the screws while removing the dial.

Please note this is the wrong tool to be doing any handsetting on the 6138/6139. It has no support for the center jewel. It is perfect for doing general movement work however.

Sometimes I may ship a different colour of the tool than pictured for various reasons (machine breakdown, out of feedstock etc).

The fitted movements are not included with the tool and are illustrative only.

The holder will hold the following movements, and many more that are the same size -
