ADAM PETTY son of KYLE, Grandson of Richard. Life was 07/10/1980 - 05/1 2/2000 - Died at Age 19. Adam began his career in 1998 when he turned 18, in te ARCA REMAX Series. Like his father Kyle, he WON his FIRST ARCA Race Driving the #45 Sprint / Spree Sponsored by Pontiac at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Adam was expected to become the next GREAT Petty !!! As Kyle laughed about and said, while Adam was alive, NASCAR Driver seemed to have skipped a generation as RICHARD was the KING, Kyle was fair, but not skilled like his father, and Adam seemed to have it all, so talented, intelligent, athletic and just everything it took to be GREAT in this Sport. Adam died during Practice for the 2000 BUSCH 200 at Loudon New Hampshire Motor Speedway as his throttle stuck Wide-Open at Turn 3, causing the car to hit the outside wall virtually Head-On. Adam was killed instantly. Cause of death was concluded to be a Basilar Skull Fracture. Never will know just how great he might have been. His Die-cast Collectibles and all merchandise of Adam Petty was very few, as he was just getting started. His Diecast, before he died and after he died, became extremely difficult to get an extremely expensive. Remember, companies were just starting to manufacture Adam Petty Collectibles.
