Item Description:

Illustration from the book Adnotationes et Meditationes in Evangelia by Jerome Nadal, S.J. (Jerónimo Nadal, Hieronymo Natali), published in 1595 (2nd edition) in Antwerp (Belgium). An influential book in Counter-Reformation Europe.

Inscription: Eadem Dominica (The Same Sunday). The solemn entrance into the city.

Engraver: Hieronymus W (Hieronymus Wierix)

Condition: Image in good condition. Margins show stains (particularly lower right from page turning), wormhole in bottom left resulting in paper loss.
