NOW ADDED is GM Edmar Mednis' How To Be a Complete Tournament Player, a 1991 book of training advice from your friendly GM Uncle Edmar, a great chess teacher.

ALSO ADDED IS David MacEnulty's Scholastic Tournament Book, a great trove of practical knowledge for young chess players and their parents from a highly respected kids' chess coach. 

If you teach or coach chess for either kids or adults, this is a great lot of manuals from which to draw ideas and inspiration. 

Chess Grandmaster Yasser Seirawan's great book Competitive Chess for Kids teaches strategies and checkmates, AND includes a Game Timer to introduce chess time-keeping to the student in its simplest form. It times moves at 10 or 30 seconds, and Seirawan in his book explains its best use as a training tool.  "Batteries included", but I'm not vouching for them and you may need new ones.

Rosalyn Katz's Chess in the Classroom is special -  a real find. It is a vintage 1992 educator's manual that is essentially a complete syllabus for teaching a comprehensive chess class. Includes detailed instruction,  sample forms and more.

It has an intro by John W. Collins, legendary chess teacher who numbered among his students one Bobby Fischer.

As regards scarcity, this book is the pick of the litter.

Best Lessons of a Chess Coach is by Sunil Weeramantry (Hikaru Nakamura's father). It's in lecture and q&a format - like having a great coach in your living room. Excellent.

Chess Coaching is by Brit John Littlewood, National Chess Coach and Director of British Junior Chess. Author of an excellent middlegame book, by the way.

Chess Training for Budding Champions is by Swedish International Master Jesper Hall.

The lot is a treasure trove for chess instructors.

Lot is sold in Good condition. Some shelfwear, some staining on cover of Katz, some bent pages, corner bumps and general use. These books have been used as manuals (Hall is likely in best condition, very nice).
