In listing this item, I believe it as genuine. My father was a pilot for Delta airlines.  Over the course of his career, he met a man that worked at NASA. They became friends.  That person came to visit us when we lived in NH.  I only met him one time, but, he invited my father and myself to see a Space Shuttle blastoff.  We flew down to FL and had a great viewing position for the liftoff.  It was an incredible experience. That was in the 1980's.

When my dad passed away, I was going through his belongings and this suit was among his possessions.  While I have no absolute proof this is something he got from his friend, I assumed he had, as my dad was not a souvenir collector.  He would not have sought this out.  I feel his friend asked him if he would like to have it and my father said yes.

Color:  The color is more the blue you see in the 3rd, 4th and 5th picture.  It is NOT the gray you see in pics 2, and 7.

Why I feel it is a suit worn at NASA by its astronauts.
  1. It is manufactured by the company that makes their suits.  That company is Flight Suits LTD.  in CA.  2. There is a suit currently listed on ebay exactly like it selling for $925. It is the suit of astronaut Fred Haise for sale on ebay.   Go to ebay. Type in search " Fred Haise Apollo Flight suit"   You will see the identical suit.  It is signed.  Examine all details and view pocket placement, nametag velco area, zippers, etc. Ours is not signed and I do not know if it belonged to anyone in particular, or if it was ever worn by anyone.  Ours is in like new condition.  There isn't any wear and tear.  There aren't any stains, or fading or anything to report.

Size  44 Long.  It also appears to be for a fairly tall person.   I am 6'1"  This suit is more fitting for someone 6'3"-6'4"
I Googled tallest astronauts and the tallest has been Jim Wetherbee.  He was at NASA around the time my dad was friends with this man I had met.  I am not saying it was his, but......anything is possible. Why would it be so long in the legs, if not for a tall person.
I do not know if NASA has these custom fit for the astronaut they are getting them for. Lots of questions.  I wish I had seen this suit when my dad was alive.  Then I would know its history.

Lastly the patches.  I do know they are real patches signifying something or some organization, but, I don't  believe they were issued by NASA?  The Apollo  IIMorrow patch is a GPS vendor patch.  The Volamus patch is an Air Force Order of Daedalians patch that translated , states We Flew We Fly or something to that effect.

ANYONE WITH MORE KNOWLEDGE ON THIS ITEM IS FREE TO CONTACT ME THRU EBAY.  I would love to have my listing be accurate.  So, if you know something PLEASE get in touch with me.

I HAVE PRICED THIS SUIT WELL BELOW 50% OF THE  SIGNED FRED HAISE SUIT. I AM TRYING TO FACTOR IN THAT AND THE POSSIBILITY IT MAY JUST BE AN OFF THE RACK FLIGHT SUIT WORN BY NASA ASTRONAUTS AT TIMES OR OTHERS IN AVIATION.  GIVEN THAT, I AM VERY OPEN TO ANY OFFERS.
