-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 20th Anniversary release celebrates the Layla Sessions – pretty much one month, September 1970 – while the 40th Anniversary release celebrates the arc of the band from June 1970 to May 1971. It’s a different kind of project. It doesn’t focus on Layla the album. The album is the main component but there was history before the record and history after.
