A very fine, rare German certified violin bow made by Carl Heinrich Knopf ca. 1865. Carl Heinrich Knopf was one of the greatest German bow makers. He made wonderful bows for important shops of Bausch family and celebrated Nikolai Kittel. This is a superb example from the period of collaboration with Kittel. The bow is in a fine state of preservation with some normal natural wear from playing. The sound that this bow produce is of a very high level, beautiful, powerful with verity of colors. This bow can enrich and accomadate a fine, solo level instrument.
The stick is dark red-brown pernambuco of superior choice and figuration, the frog and button are abony with silver mountings. The length of the stick is 72.4 cm and the weight of the bow is 60 g. Please note that this is an EXCEPTIONALLY FINE EXAMPLE and bid with confidence.
