origin: INDONESIA, East Java. Scarce and OLD selendang (shawl). Very unusual, graphic piece consisting of 3 lengths of silk cloth sewn together. The dimensions of the 3 lengths indicate that they have been woven on a backstrap loom. VERY RARE EXAMPLE FROM EAST JAVA!
