Intersection is the area where two or more roads join or cross and the effectiveness of such intersection is based on its capacity and delay characteristics. Intersections are generally prone to delay, congestion and road accident when the traffic demand for the road is much. Road intersections have been known to enjoy much and special attention by Highway Engineers because of its influence on vehicle safety and efficiency of traffic movement. Data on traffic volume for selected intersections were analysed using Tanner's equation and Interactive Approach Equation for the selected tee intersections. The results obtained from the two equations used were tested with the use of Pearson correlation. The Interactive Approach equation gave a better result than the Tanners model. The use of Highway Capacity Manual 2000 equations was employed to analysed the data obtained for the selected cross intersection. The analysed results were interpreted by the use of Level of service table and remedial measures were proffered to control and reduce delay.
