The present study on microbiological analysis of food samples collected from different college canteen of Rajkot city shows that from the isolates bacterial strains from food samples, Gram positive isolates best match with Bacillus subtilis , Bacillus mojavensis , Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus atrophueus with percentage match of more than 60 % while Gram negative isolate Cheeps best match with Proteus penneri , Xenorhabdus bedding and Xenorhabdus poinarii with match percentage of 85.71 % , 83.33 % and 83.33 % respectively while that of Frimes best match with Brenneria salicis , Enterobacter coweriii and Enterobacter koberi with match percentage of 85.71 % , 83.33 % and 83.33 % respectively while that of Frimes best match with Brenneria salicis , Enterobacter coweriii and Enterobacter koberi with match percentage of 77.77 % , 75.00 % and 75.00 % respectively and third Gram negative isolate namely soft drink best match with Brenneria rubrifaciens , Proteus penneri and Xenrhabdus hematophila with match percentage of 88.88 % , 71.42 % and 75.00 % respectively.
