Descrizione:
Chilli (Capsicum annum L.) is a member of solanaceae family which represents a diverse plant group. The name is derived from Latin word Capsa that means hallow pod. The fruits are an essential spice and condiments in the Indian home known for its pungency and are used in its rawgreen, ripe and dry stages. Overall, the yield loss due to thrips and mites are estimated to the tune of 50 per cent. However, indiscriminate use of insecticides has led to insecticide resistance, pest resurgence, environmental pollution besides upsetting the natural ecosystem so keeping this in consideration, the present investigation was carried out.
