Zac Webb is an American artist whose enigmatic paintings splice portraiture and abstraction with instinct and energy. Webb brings a paradoxical sense of displacement in which the artists relationship with the human condition is one of fascination and fear. Fragments of contemporary life materialize themselves in the form of ghostly figures, who are often times isolated and charged with raw emotion. His current works show a wild embrace of the nocturnal irrationalities that permeated through his dreams and visions during a residency in a haunted Victorian mansion.
