initial pressing indicated by fine print on bottom of back cover which reads:

"Note: This record has been pressed on audiophile virgin vinyl. Owing to the above average running time of each side, this record has been cut at a below average level to avoid distortion. It will sound quieter than most contemporary recordings. If in doubt, turn it up."

Like The Police Synchronicity release by A&M Records in this timeframe of 1983/84...these Virgin vinyls copies reportedly show as purple or root beer colored when held to bright light. We've seen and own both variations for the Police album but have not seen all variants of this so we are just repeating what we have read on the two diff variants of purple/root beer.

There is also a Yellow vinyl version of this that is very rare and has nothing on the outside that signifies it's colored vinyl

We know though, that the record inside this copy is NOT that variant, as the yellow vinyl version covers do not have the fine print audiophile explanation text at the bottom of the back cover like this one does.
