This commemorative issue highlights the XIII Olympic Winter Games in Pyeong Chang. Featured on its obverse design are a snowboarder and the year, the inscription XXIII Olympic Winter Games in Russian arched at the top and PYEONGCHANG at the bottom. The reverse of the coin depicts the Transnistrian emblem, the issuing bank, the denomination, and the year. The coin weighs 4.65 grams and has a diameter of 22 mm.
