This maki-e stand was made in 1879 during the Meiji period in Japan.

The old pine tree is meant to wish for the long-lasting prosperity of a person or organization,
and the crane symbolizes longevity.
It is a very congratulatory design.

There is almost no signs of use, but because it is a period piece, there are cracks and small chips.
And one area indicated by an arrow has been restored.

The height is approximately 18.5 cm.

Since it is quite old, the wood inside may have deteriorated. Please handle it gently.
The cloth that wraps the stand is dirty, but will be shipped as is without washing.

I will send this by Japan post EMS(Express Mail Service).
Thank you very much.
