Indian vinyl records have become collectors items for several reasons. Firstly, western releases had fairly low print runs with HMV India, who released almost all of these titles. Indian stereo equipment was not particularly good, and the shelf life of these vinyl records was pretty limited. Also, HMV India did not cello wrap their releases, so they were exposed to atmospheric conditions from inception. Polydor India, established in the 1970s, did introduce plastic covers with some their records.
The jacket has some has some minor discoloring/fading but seems to be made from a stiffer board. The spine and corners are frayed and the two records are in a single jacket, no foldout.. The record has never been played. There is no outer plastic or cello cover. The records are in thin plastic sleeves.
I brought these albums from India in the early eighties, and put them in a storage box for decades, since i was travelling a lot. They have been there for decades, and never been used. I have some beatles doubles, CSN, a Clapton, and some others that I am listing simultaneously.
