The Maldives 100 Rufiyaa Banknote was issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority in 2018. The obverse side of the note features an underprint of the Dives akuru (old Dhivehi alphabet) and a woman wearing a Libaas and working on the Hiru of a similar dress seated in front of a group of people in traditional attire. The back is vertically oriented and features the Dambidu Lomafanu, an early Dhivehi scripture. The note does not have a security thread but has a watermark that reveals a shadow image of the coat of arms and has an embossed symbol in pearlescent ink on both sides. The red note is also made of Safeguard polymer substrate and is signed by Ahmed Nasser. It measures 150 mm x 70 mm. This polymer banknote is in uncirculated condition.
